Miramar Sailing is also a RYA recognised Sailing School offering a full range of both theory and practical courses from their base in Jolly Harbour.
"Hawnalea" a 47ft Classic Ketch, provides day sailing and is available for private and exclusive parties of up to 12 guests. The day sailing options aboard include:
• Special Day Cruises – from 3 to 8 hours and are particularly popular with holiday makers and visitors to Antigua.
• Special Occasion Cruises – Enjoy a "Champagne Celebration" of your Wedding, Honeymoon, Anniversary, Birthday or simply the day you fell in love!
• Collection and return of cruise liner passengers to and from their ship in St John's harbour.

8 hour “Super Day” Cruise. This is possibly the ultimate way to spend a day sailing and relaxing along the west coast of Antigua. This cruise combines our Special Day Cruise with our Sunset Cruise and in many cases has given our guests the “best time of their holiday”. Cruise times vary with time of year: February to August: 11:00am – 7:00pm; September to October: 10:30am – 6:30pm; November to January: 10:00am – 6:00pm.

With “Cool Cat” they introduce SCUBA Diving as a completely new dimension to your Miramar Sailing experience.
Her capacity to easily carry 6 full size tanks plus ancillary equipment, combined with Wayne, her PADI Dive Master Skipper, means that on an 8 Hour “Super Day” Cruise, up to 6 of our guests can go diving in the beautiful clear waters around our shores.
All guests wishing to dive must hold, and present, a recognised International Open Water certificate but apart from that “Cool Cat” provides everything else.
For those of you who do not wish to dive there is an ample supply of fins, masks, buoyancy aids for your free use if shallow water sea life exploration is what you are looking for.
In addition, we can arrange for you to do some fishing by “trolling” a lure from the back of the yacht while sailing. The photo opportunities that come with a “catch” are not to be missed. A monster Mahi Mahi, Wahoo or Tuna can never be guaranteed but there is always a lot of excitement generated by the possibility!
